Venue

Venue

The venue anchors the event physically. It is relevant for address, ticket presentation, visitor information, and in certain cases also for the seating plan.

In Backstage, the venue is structured by name, street, house number, postal code, city, and country. This may sound simple at first, but it is crucial for the consistency of the entire event. Once tickets are issued, event pages are shared, and visitor information is used, these data must be reliable.

An important point is the stability of this area after publication. When an event is already further advanced or published, the venue is no longer treated like a regular text field. This is sensible because later changes to the venue and seating plan can have significant impacts.

For organizers, this means: The venue should be clearly established early on so that subsequent processes do not become unnecessarily complicated.
